Для присоединения к команде Украины:
1. Загрузите BOINC менеджер (Если его у Вас еще нет!)
2. Перейдите в "расширенный вид"
3. Выберите сервис ---> добавить проект
4. Введите адрес проекта http://africangridlab.net/
5. Введите свои регистрационные данные.
6. Найдите нашу команду. Она называется Ukraine и адрес ее [url=]статистики[/url] вы могли видеть выше.
7. Если есть доступные для загрузки задания Вы их получите и начнете расчеты.

Полезная информация:
Для идентификации пользователя в BOINC могут служить 2 вещи:
1) пара e-mail/пароль
2) межпроектный идентификационный ID (Cross-project ID) - 32значное шестнадцатиричное число.

Если Вы пожелаете подключится ещё и к другому BOINC-проекту, то помните: чтобы не плодить новых аккаунтов при подключении к новому проекту или команде, нужно обязательно везде регистрироваться с одним и тем же e-mail/паролем либо CPID. если при регистрации в проекте указать другие e-mail или пароль, BOINC создаст новый аккаунт с тем же именем!

О проекте:
The project was conceived as a result of the AIMS workshop on Volunteer Computing held in July 2007. As far as I am aware, this is the second BOINC project borne from that event, with the first being UCT : malariacontrol.net. There may be more and I'm sure someone will let me know if there are.

The goal of this project is to facilitate a laboratory environment for BOINC based projects for participants that attended the workshop. While participants may be well positioned to create the science applications, hosting and maintaining a BOINC server may be a somewhat less appetizing endeavour.

The offer to host science applications is not only restricted to African based students, so we do welcome enquiries regarding our services, although the resources are rather limited.

Unexpected outage

We experienced our first unexpected outage today.

At 16h40 CAT today, network connectivity to the server was interrupted. The server did remain up, as console access was possible, however no other network interface or service on the server could be reached.

We became aware of the problem at 19h30 and notified the data center accordingly. The procedure to switch the homepage was started, but by the time the news alert had been written, the datacenter had resolved the problem with the server.

The project has been terminated.

The maintenance has been completed and the server is back up and operational. The DNS has been updated, so as soon as your cached DNS data has been refreshed, you will no longer be seeing this page.

After prodding the support desk for more info, I have been asked to check back in an hour if the service is still not available.

It would appear that the duration of the maintenance has been extended from the initial estimate of one hour. More details will be posted as they become available.

The data center personnel are presently carrying out maintenance work that has required an interruption to our services. The expected duration of this outage is approximately one hour. Once the maintenance work has been completed, the project will resume normal operation.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused by this brief interruption.

The server has been rebooted by the datacenter and this has resolved the connectivity problem that we were experiencing.

At 16h40 CAT today, network connectivity to the server was interrupted.

We can confirm that the server is up because the console is accessible, however none of the network interfaces are reachable. The datacenter has been notified and a support ticket opened. We do not yet know the cause of the interruption.

We sincerely regret any inconvenience and ask your indulgence and patience while the datacenter attends to this problem.

This post will be updated as we learn more.
