Ну, в мене і AMD K6-2-300 є...
сегодня обновил клиента на UltraSparc IIi @270MHz
прирост составил около 10%, однако новая 64-битная версия дала +50%
итого, имеем 3.1 Gnodes/sec - столько же, сколько раньше давал P-III 500 MHz
p.s. а в RC5-72 эта зверюшка все так же дает чуть больше 0.5 Mkeys/sec, вот и говори после этого про оптимизацию...
ну дык ядра-то разные....
а со статом что-то случилось. огр за 17-е число показывает. а рц за 18-е.

До речі, за минулий час вже пройшло чимало http://www.distributed.net/download/changes.txt http://www.distributed.net/download/clients.php. Зокрема, вийшла версія для платформи PlayStation 3/Cell BE. Також слід звернути увагу, що змінено дефолтовий порядок проектів, - OGR тепер перший, - і дефолтовий режим роботи з буферами - оновлення всіх буферів відбувається коли звільняється хоча б один вхідний буфер.
фак, а я на 500 всё ещё щитаю. стыыыдно мля.....

О, то тебе не клиент нужно искать, а мануал по работе новичкам в линуксе!
Вобщем, открывай коммандную строку, и через нее запускай клиент.

только что заметил, что старый Атлон 2400+ в рабочем режиме выдает 27 меганод в секунду
интересно, это глюк пререлизного клиента или быстрые блоки?

Tamagoch, у меня 2200 відаёт 23-25М так шо всё правильно. проверь шоб 505 клиент стоял.
оказывается Phenom на частоте 2.3 ГГц дает столько же меганод в секунду, сколько Athlon X2 на частоте 2.8 ГГц
при цене в 170 у.е. очень даже неплохо.... хотя и Q6600 наверное всего лишь баксов на 40 дороже....

давайте в тему про бенчмарк кидайте свои цифры.
Хтось шукав клієнта для ОГР-26 під FreeBSD! Він http://www.distributed.net/download/prerelease.php
Правда, ще в стані неофіційного клієнта, але ж хіба справжніх кранчерів то зупинить!
Втім, там додалося клієнтів не тільки під FreeBSD...
та да, я похоже половину огр25 общитал на пререлизах, потому что они в релиз его кидают через пару месяцев )))
откатов практически никогда не было.
Колись були. Ще за часів РЦ5-64. Але дійсно досить рідко.

Death, Все дело в CUDe. Ее наверняка нет в лайв-сд.
Слакваре-линукс кстати на современный комп за 12 минут ставиться. Это чисто из практики.
Вот Дрова типа Куды - никогда не ставил. не скажу.
вже "зайняв" той комп... качаю українського мультика на 5 DVD
поставлю АБЦ на ніч... а потім залишу сервіс клієнта д.нет
жаль не встигли зробити пререліз КУДи на він64

Это обычная 9600GT, даже не разогнанная.

ужев пререлизе лежит КУДА ЛИНУХ АМД64 РЦ5, а это под винду сделали.
вот что значит фанат огра. копец.

Такі от пироги... Маємо приріст 33% при переході на новий клієнт (з новим ядром). А при переході з 32 на 64 біта приросту немає, навіть навпаки. В принципі, так було й раніше і на цей раз дива не сталось. У кого помітний приріст на він64 - давайте бенчмарк! І не забувайте вказувати процесор! Хоча навряд: клієнт все ж під він32, а ядра дінетк завжди були відомі надзвичайною заточеністю під конкретну архітектуру і не дивно, що на іншій архітектурі вони показують себе гірше.

1. Windows 32bit [x86] proxyper build 346 - тепер проксі може годувати платформи CUDA/PS3/STREAM, є підтримка роботи з великими пачками завдань для цих скоропостіжних платформ. Також ця версія готова до завершення ОГР-26 (десь тижні за 3): після завершення проекту вона не буде роздавати ОГР-26 застарілим кілєнтам.
2. Windows 32bit [x86] [x86/CUDA] - знову бета на 28 днів (платформу досі перевіряють). В рідмі описано, як запустити на одній машині дві відеокарти, рекомдована версія куди - 2.0 (драйвер 178.xx), при використанні версії 2.1 (драйвер 180.xx) з"являються помилки. Дозволено використовувати збільшені пачки із завданнями.
3. Windows 64bit [AMD64] - підтримка х64, збільшених пачок завдань, визначення процесорів Intel Atom, Intel Core i7, встановлення сервісом.
Також багато новинок для інших, менш розповсюджених платформ (мак, пс3, лінукс AMD64/CUDA, різні BSD та інші юнікс-платформи. Здається, є навіть STREAM - для роботи на GPU виробництва AMD/ATI). Повний список http://www.distributed.net/download/prerelease.php.

Попробовал днет32 бит и 64бит.
Вернулся на 32 бит.
Почему :
Ядро Флитч имеет 20% прироста на 64бита,
Но есть другое ядро ссе-ммх-рте или как-то так. Так вот оно обходит 64бит Флитч на 25%.
Под 64 бита ссе-ммх-рте нету.
Так что в огре по-барабану 64биты.

As mentioned in a previous plan, these new x86 clients contain three new OGR cores. Depending on your CPU type, the new cores may provide a significant speed improvement over the cores used in previous client versions.
Additionally we strongly recommend that users of OGR PowerPC clients version 2.9103 or 2.9104 upgrade to these newer versions. It was discovered that those two specific version numbers could process OGR-27 blocks incorrectly, so results from those client versions have been blocked. Users of PowerPC platforms should upgrade to client version 2.9105.511 or later.
We have also promoted the following personal proxy binaries from the pre-release page to the official release page:

We're very close to being able to finally mark the first three stubspaces for OGR-27 complete... The first one (OGR-27.1) was just finished up in the last few hours. There are just a very small number of stubs that we are waiting to be completed in OGR-27.2 and OGR-27.3.
We'll make another announcement when those are finally received.
