Join us on December 6th for a live webcast where Dr. Stan Watowich will explain his team’s progress since the end of Phase 1, and outline how computational research helps accelerate the search for important treatments.



Phase 1 of the Discovering Dengue Drugs – Together project ran for two years on World Community Grid, from the summer of 2007 to the summer of 2009. It screened 2.3 million molecules against target sites on 15 proteins, with the aim of discovering target candidates for drugs that could treat Dengue fever and other deadly infectious diseases. On December 6th, Dr. Stan Watowich, from the University of Texas Medical Branch and principal investigator for Discovering Dengue Drugs – Together, will give an overview of the drug discovery process and provide information about the latest steps in his team’s research.
