Help Compute Against Cancer fight cancer. The project is supporting the following research projects:
Microarray Gene Expression Patterns - a gene expression analysis
Patient Quality of Life - an exhaustive regression analysis to identify the specific factors that ease the suffering of chemotherapy recipients
Protein Folding - a study of the molecular dynamics of protein folding to create greater understanding of the behavior of cancer cells and how they interact with potential new treatments

The project runs on the Parabon Computation Frontier Compute Engine platform.

парабон - это да.
джавовская платформа. ни команд ни стата.
я его запускал - он поработал пару дней - абсолютно непонятно что он куда отправляет и что я нащитал. так и забил. а кто-то его выбирает как платформу.

обожаю жабовские клиенты. 50 метров инсталл. управление через локалхост. ву не смог получить. он значительно изменился за три года.

http://parabon.com/ - типа платформа известная, я ставил 3 версию - щас 4-я, понавороченней.

кстате, ещё тогда ходили разговоры что они типа платить будут участнекам.

How much will I earn for Compute Against CancerSM partners?

Much of the work currently being processed is for nonprofit cancer researchers. Currently, organizations who can contribute a minimum of 25 nodes (think university computer labs, or office buildings full of workstations -- where there are dozens of computers sitting idle ~16 hours a day or more) may qualify to receive compensation for their computing power. For qualifying organizations, earnings are based on the amount of time a computer spends processing tasks for paying clients, the power of each computer, how often it connects to the Internet, and the speed of the Internet connection.

As the program grows and more commercial researchers use Compute Against Cancer, we expect to extend that offer to individual providers, whether they contribute one computer or one hundred.
