Timetable
Registration for the experiment will start in the last week of March 2010. Testing of server connectivity ("dry run" for server predictors) will be conducted starting April 14. The first prediction targets will be released not earlier than May 3; the last prediction targets will be released not later than July 17; prediction season will end not later than July 31. Refinement experiment will end not later than August 20. Abstracts describing the methods tested in CASP9 will be collected in September. At the same time we will open registration for the meeting. The meeting will take place on December 5-9, and approximately one month before that groups with the most accurate and interesting predictions will receive invitations to give talks.

June 25 , 2010 - CASP 9 T523 results available, POEM++

The official (preliminary) official PDB structure for Target T523 was released - we had achieved an excellent RMSD of 1.16 Angstroms. Check out a picture of the comparison on the Result page (at the bottom). Apart from that the new version of POEM called POEM++ is coming along. The first SIMD optimised release can be expected quite soon.

Новая версия ПОЭМ будет SIMD. Это может понравиться не всем. OpenCL задерживается на неопределённое время.
Да, и в предыдущем CASP8, если я правильно понял, ПОЭМ был где-то во второй половине списка. Д. Бейкер, всё-равно, всех победил. В этот раз, видно, получше будет результат.

July 22 , 2010 - More CASP 9 results available

Some more experimental structures were released in the CASP9 benchmark. The results look very very promising. Head over to the resultpage to check them out. A big THANKS goes out to all you volunteers for making our current participation in CASP9 possible!

July 30 , 2010 - Last CASP targets

The last four CASP targets are on POEM@HOME. Three of those will be submitted tomorrow - the last one T643 will still run for a week, but not on the complete POEM@HOME resources. Together with our prediction protocol we will start a folding simulation for this job _from zero_ so without any knowledge about secondary structure and so on as job data_487. Thanks for making all this possible!

Aug 08 , 2010 - CASP over!
Finally the CASP protein structure assessment is over. Thanks to you we could process all HUMAN/SERVER targets in this year of CASP. Currently not all experimental structures are available for comparison with our prediction; we will keep you posted once they are. A big thanks again for making this huge effort and our participation possible!

Aug 19 , 2010 - Downtime on Monday

On Monday the 23rd we will have a longer downtime period starting from 9:00 am CEST. During this period we will install the new server daemons needed for our next generation POEM++. The website should only be down for a couple of minutes if everything goes alright. The BOINC infrastructure underneath and also the mysql server will be down a bit longer. Thanks for your help and sorry for the inconvenience.

Sep 07 , 2010 - POEM++ CPU client release

English: The big moment has come. We plan to release the first CPU client of POEM++ on Thursday the 16th of September. On this day we will release the Linux 64BIT client, followed by the Windows 32BIT on Friday the 17th (if there are no major regressions found, which we will report on.) If this also goes well the Windows 64BIT and Linux 32BIT clients will follow the 27th and 28th. GPU applications are also in the pipeline, but we won't give any releasedate, until the CPU app is proven to work stable on POEM@HOME. Thanks for your enormous patience.
