English: Finally, two hours after the proposed release date the first windows release of poem++ could be uploaded. Also thanks to your loyal support the first bug in the linux version could be spotted, which is already fixed in the windows client (updated linux clients will come very soon). English: The current outage is over - sorry for the about 1 day of outage. It was an admin mistake from the BOINC server not resuming after an upgrade.

Oct 22 , 2010 - POEM++ still alive

English: To keep you in the loop: We and POEM++ are still alive. The problem we are debugging now for a long time was/is in the Surface calculation code of the POEM++ package. During this debugging time we changed the way we debug quite significantly to test using multiple clusters with 5000 debugging workunits. Hopefully the next iteration of POEM++ should be more a lot more stable therefore. The current bug (last one, which we found) sadly causes deadlocks although very rarely and needs to be fixed before release.

Nov 18 , 2010 - POEM++ - new client release

English: After a long period of debugging and resolving numerical errors, we will run a last Windows test today in the afternoon. In case everything goes alright, we will release a new version of POEM++ for Win32 and Linux64 tomorrow. Thanks for your patience!

English: As always there will be a short delay until Monday. This is however not, because POEM++ proved to be unstable again, but because we ran into some compilation constraints. Monday will be release day now. Thanks for your patience.

Nov 23 , 2010 - POEM++ - 0.04 released

English: The new executable and 5000 POEM++ Jobs are now up. If everything works out, we will soon ramp up the POEM++ workunits and starve the -oldpoem- ones.

Словил 40 ВУ POEM++ v0.04 . ВУ у меня считается за ~ 3000 секунд, начисляют ~ 0.006 очков/с.

Dec 17 , 2010 - POEM++ - Credits, new jobs, new projectpage soon

English: Today we release new jobs modeling an anti-cancer peptide of currently unknown structure Link. The Jobs will run on P++ under the cancerpeptide workunit series and start from extended conformations. The PDB files, which will be generated here, will also be downloadable (and watchable) after. However we need some time to adjust the site for that. I suspect it to be done on Tuesday. Apart from that the Credits were a bit low in comparison with the old POEM executable. They were raised just now. Thanks for informing us about that!

Oct 28 , 2011 - New Client release, Server upgrade

We will release a new client by the end of next week. This client will be incompatible with the current client. Therefore we will starve the server of workunits the next week. Starting Monday no new workunits will be generated. We will then take the server offline on Friday to do a server upgrade to enable GPU client compatibility. This release will still be without GPU support. We expect the GPU support to be ready hopefully one week after. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Oct 11 , 2011 - Preparing new drug screen workunits

Hi everybody. Currently the workunit queue is down a bit as we do now have enough work to send out. The reason is that with the new POEM we got the possibility to search for (medical) drug compounds and we are preparing these workunits. The next POEM++ release will have this functionality and so we are preparing this one, too. Please be patient for a while. The drought should be over soon.
