За последние дни моим компам удалось получить несколько ВЮшек для бета-тестирования. Дедлайн ВЮ - 48 часов, на core2duo 2.66Ghz одна ВЮ считалась 16 часов и за нее claimed credit 224 boinc-очков!

We have recently started a new beta test on all operating systems. There are 5000 work units to be sent out at zero redundancy.

This test is to help reduce the number of errors members are seeing with this application.

This version will show up as 6.15.

We are testing 64 bit versions of Computing for Clean Water science application on Windows, Linux, and Mac Intel. The plan is to release 1000 work units at first for the next 6-12 hours. Then if things are looking good, then we will release another 5000 work units to extend the testing.

This test will only be for 64 bit processors machines.

We have released new work units for beta test for a new project using Vina. We are sending out 1650 work units. These will be sent out with a quorum of two for a total of 3300 results.

The memory requirements will be around 200MB for this test. Disk usage is very small, less than 10 MB. Uploads are about 100KB and downloads are about 300KB.

While the drug Praziquantel has been largely effective in treating the disease for more than 25 years, drug-resistant strains are of concern.

"Researchers will now seek to identify human protein targets for possible new drug treatments. They will use the World Community Grid to screen up to 13 million compounds found in the zinc.docking.org database against 180 protein structures involved with the parasite. While this may not lead to new drugs immediately, it will greatly augment the study of this disease by scientists around the world."

Greetings everyone,

We have started a new beta test for an upcoming project. This test will include many small work units at the start (running around an hour I would estimate). The application in use is the same as DSFL and GFAM. Please let us know if you encounter any issues in the other beta forum. We have set the memory requirement high as we have seen some work units that actively use 250MB of ram.
